I noticed the President International Tower (Chinese 統一國際大樓) on my way to Taipei 101, because it's nearby. Of course it's not as majestic and impressive as Taipei's (and Taiwan's) tallest building, but it looks very nice and blends in perfectly in that modern area around Taipei 101 called Xinyi. It was finished in 2004 and it's 154m tall. It's mainly an office building, but it also has a swimming pool on top. There's a famous bookstore Eslite inside, which is one of the biggest bookstores in Taipei City. If you look for books in Chinese and English or various maps, that's the place to go.
