This famous square in the historic center of Macau is called "Largo do Senado" in Portuguese and 議事亭前地 (pronounced as Yìshì Tíngqiándì) in Chinese. It's really a beautiful place, full of historic buildings. This spot really has a feel and an ambience of a Portuguese city. There's many restaurants and shops, you even have a McD and Starbuck's at very prestigious locations. This is the place to be in Macau. It's really full of people most of the day. There's few locals and many foreign workers (mostly Filipinos) and tourists (mostly from Chinese mainland). People take tons of photos, but who could blame them. I took quite many myself. But taking photos during the day is not an easy task, because someone will always stand in your way, the mass of tourists is just unbelievable. So I took the effort and went on Senado Square in the early morning, around 7.45 and people just begun to flood the square. The photos came out very well and I want share them with you. I made a map which should help you to get a better orientation of the whole square. It's actually not that big, more like long and stretched, something like a funnel and ending at the famous and beautiful St. Dominic's church. Enjoy my photos!
I also made some great photos of the Senado Square at night, around 23h. There wasn't much people around there and since my girlfriend's camera is really good, the photos came out very well. If you're interested, check...
